I think Shay's description of the model is a bit exageratted. The thing that they have right about our time is that everybody did look different. They also have the thing about the eating disorder right.

When she got to the plessure gardens she hid in the bushes until she got to the lake. When she got to the lake she sees a shadow that she thinks is a warden but it is a girl named Shay. Shay is also an ugly that becomes friends with Tally.

Beauty is more of a mental stand point than a physical stand point because someone could think something is beautiful in their own mind and another person think the same thing is absoulutely hideous.If everyone on earth was beautiful everyone would in the same sense would be ugly.
